In the Northern Pindos, where vast forests meet mountain meadows and stone-built villages, people and wildlife have quietly coexisted for centuries.
This is one of Greece’s most important biodiversity strongholds—a place where the brown bear continues to find refuge, food, and the conditions it needs to survive.
Through three short videos, we present Callisto’s work in the Northern Pindos: field research for wildlife monitoring and conservation, participation in the Bear Rapid Response Teams, and the CONSERVE CONNECT project, which aims to maintain ecological connectivity through the provision of drinking water.
The videos were produced by ALTERTHESS KOINSEP for Callisto, with funding from The European Nature Trust (TENT).
