At Callisto, we seek to build long-term partnerships with companies, foundations, and individual supporters that are committed to environmental protection, promote the values of civil society, and share a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility.
Companies and foundations that become Callisto sponsors support our mission to protect wildlife and conserve nature by providing both financial and moral support for the implementation of our conservation initiatives. Through these partnerships, they also help amplify the impact of our work and contribute to broader environmental awareness and action.
Sponsorships and donations represent an essential source of funding for Callisto, enabling us to sustain and expand our conservation programmes. Equally important, maintaining a diverse funding base helps reduce the organisation’s dependence on any single source of financing—such as European funding programmes or public subsidies—while safeguarding the scientific independence, integrity, and objectivity of our research and conservation activities.
In-kind sponsorships & pro bono services
In-kind sponsorships and pro bono services represent another important form of support for Callisto and play a valuable role in strengthening our conservation work. Support in the form of equipment, services, or technical assistance can help cover essential operational costs, including the purchase of field equipment, volunteer insurance, the printing of educational and communication materials, software licences, and logistical support for field activities. Contributions of this kind enable us to reduce operational expenses and direct more of our financial resources towards wildlife conservation and biodiversity protection.
Callisto accepts sponsorships and donations from companies and individuals within a clear ethical framework based on the following principles:
-Independence and integrity: We ensure that every sponsorship arrangement fully preserves our independence, credibility, financial autonomy, and our right to express evidence-based positions and, where necessary, publicly criticise policies or practices.
-Responsible partners: As a general principle, we collaborate with organisations that demonstrate strong standards of corporate responsibility, respect for workers’ rights, and compliance with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.
-Continuous evaluation: We continuously monitor the conduct and activities of our partners and reserve the right to terminate any collaboration should it no longer align with our values or ethical standards.
-Exclusion of certain industries: We do not accept sponsorships or establish partnerships with companies or corporate groups involved in sectors such as the nuclear energy or arms and defence industries.
-Consistency with environmental values: We do not enter into partnerships with companies that are engaged in active disputes with environmental organisations with which we regularly collaborate, or with citizens’ movements and initiatives whose environmental objectives we support.
-Animal welfare commitment: We do not accept sponsorships or donations from companies or corporate groups that conduct or support animal testing.
For the Company / Organisation:
-Receive an official Certificate of Sponsorship/Donation issued by Callisto.
-Your company logo will be featured among Callisto’s Corporate Sponsors.
-Your company banner will be displayed on the Callisto website, with a direct link to your organisation’s website.
-Your company’s name and the value of the sponsorship or donation will be acknowledged in Callisto’s Annual Financial Report.
-Your partnership with Callisto will be promoted through the organisation’s Facebook and Instagram channels (reaching more than 12,000 followers).
-The collaboration will also be highlighted through an official press release and Callisto’s newsletter.
For Your Employees:
-Employees will receive Callisto’s monthly electronic newsletter, keeping them informed about the organisation’s conservation work and activities.
-Employees will be entitled to a 15% discount on purchases from Callisto’s online shop, equivalent to the organisation’s supporter discount.
* For sponsorships below €3,000 or for in-kind contributions, the recognition and benefits package will be agreed individually, according to the nature and scope of the contribution.
