Environmental education
At Callisto, we view Environmental Education as a powerful means of exploring both the natural and human environment—and the relationship between people and wildlife—through a holistic and interdisciplinary approach that fosters knowledge, critical thinking, and active participation.
We use methods and educational tools that promote environmental interpretation through hands-on learning and meaningful experiences. Our programmes encourage participants to understand the complex interactions between social, cultural, economic, historical, and political factors and the natural processes that shape ecosystems.
Our aim is to empower children and young people to develop their own informed perspectives, cultivate their own values, form responsible attitudes, and propose solutions that contribute to the sustainable coexistence of people and nature.
At Callisto, we:
1. Design, develop, and deliver environmental education programmes for schools and organised groups.
2. Participate in public events and festivals, offering structured environmental education workshops for participants of all ages.
3. Organise training programmes and capacity-building activities for adults.
4. Develop partnerships with schools, public authorities, organisations, community groups, and other stakeholders to support their initiatives and to co-design and implement our own environmental education and awareness activities.

Make your own little bear
With this simple craft activity, children can quickly create a cute, chubby little bear!
All you need is scissors, glue, and colouring pencils or markers. Print the template with the numbered circles and, before cutting them out, it’s a good idea to lightly write each number on the back with a pencil so they don’t get mixed up. Next, colour the circles using the bear’s natural colours—brown, dark brown, chestnut, grey—or let your imagination run wild with your own colour combinations.
Finally, glue each circle in place according to the numbered assembly diagram. Your little bear is ready!

Wolf or bear ears
A quick and easy craft!
This activity is often combined with a role-playing game, either outdoors or in the classroom. Before the game begins, children choose which animal—or group of animals—they would like to represent and receive the corresponding ears.
They then cut out the template and, with the help of a parent or teacher, attach an elastic band to each side so they can wear their wolf or bear ears during the activity.
